The dissertation describes a bi-directional, phase spreading integration of computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided calculation. All calculations of the development process are mapped in the product model constantly from the early to the late phases, whereby the calculation regulations and the mapped requirements are active at each time and exert influence on the design shape. With a detailed contemplation of the scientific basics as well as with a computer based implemantation the dissertation shows potential and limits for the scope of integration of CAD and calculation.
