Abstract:
This paper presents a deadbeat-like predictive encoderless control method for back-to-back power converter permanent-magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) wind turbine systems with Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). The generator state variables are estimated through an EKF observer requiring neither the knowledge of mechanical parameters nor the initial position of the rotor.
