In this study, the effects of kallikrein-related peptidases KLK4-7 overexpression on gene regulation in OV-MZ-6 ovarian cancer cells were investigated. KLK4-7 overexpression led to significant upregulation of moesin and keratin 19 and downregulation of keratin 7 and jun-B on both mRNA and protein level in OV-MZ-6 cells. Furthermore, KLK5 exerted the strongest impact on gene regulation in OV-KLK4-7 cells. These findings may lead to clinical use of some KLKs and their inhibitors for the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer patients.     «

In dieser Studie wurden die Auswirkungen der Überexpression der Kallikrein-ähnlichen Peptidasen KLK4-7 auf die Genregulation anderer krebsrelevanter Faktoren in OV-MZ-6 Ovarialkarzinomzellen untersucht. KLK4-7 Überexpression führte zu einer signifikanten Hochregulation von Moesin und Keratin 19 und Herabregulation von Keratin 7 und Jun-B sowohl auf mRNA als auch auf Protein-Ebene in OV-MZ-6-Zellen. KLK5 übt hierbei den stärksten Einfluss auf die Genregulation in OV-KLK4-7 Zellen aus. Diese Erkenntnisse können für die klinische Anwendung von einigen KLKs und ihrer Inhibitoren bei der Diagnose und Behandlung von Eierstock-Krebs-Patienten von Bedeutung sein.     «
