- Kurzfassung:
- Etwa 3% der Patienten mit Vorhofflimmern (VHF) demaskieren nach einer Ablation ein Sick Sinus Syndrom (SSS). In der Studie soll der Langzeit-Erfolg der Ablation von persistierendem VHF bei Patienten mit postprozedural demaskiertem SSS untersucht werden. 51 Patienten mit postprozeduralem SSS wurden näher untersucht und mit 102 Patienten ohne postprozeduralem SSS verglichen. 1 Jahr nach Ablation waren 39% der Patienten mit SSS und 60% der Patienten ohne SSS im Sinusrhythmus (p=0,025).

- About 3% of patients with persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) additionally suffer from a concealed sinus node disease (SND). We sought to determine the ablation success one year after ablation of persistent AF in 51 patients with postprocedurally unmasked SND and compared them to the outcome of 102 patients without SND. 1 year after ablation, 39% of patients with postprocedurally unmasked SND and 60% of patients without postprocedurally unmasked SND were in sinus rhythm (p=0.025).
