Basophil identification markers were analyzed via multicolour flow cytometry (6 colours) in order to find the most suitable staining method for basophil activation tests. The study was performed in 10 patients with grass pollen allergy and 3 healthy controls. In addition, an intracellular staining of histamine was performed. In this study, the use of anti-CCR3-Alexa Fluor 647 and anti-IgE-FITC/anti-CD203c-PE showed the best results. The method used for intracellular histamine measurement did not produce satisfactory results.
