Die Single Pass Albumin Dialysis (SPAD) ist ein Verfahren des artifiziellen Leberersatzes beim akuten Funktionsverlust der Leber. Mit der SPAD soll dem Patienten Zeit zur Überbrückung bis zur Regeneration der Leberfunktion oder bis zur Verfügbarkeit eines Spenderorgans geben werden. Bezüglich der Surrogatparameter waren die Ergebnisse in unserer Studie mit anderen plattformgebunden Verfahren des artifiziellen Lebersatzes vergleichbar. Auch im klinischen Verlauf entsprachen die Ergebnisse der anderen artifiziellen Leberersatzverfahren. Damit zeigte sich die SPAD in Hinblick auf die Effizienz und Sicherheit sowie den klinischen Vorteil der Patienten mit den anderen artifiziellen Leberersatzverfahren gleichwertig.      «

Single Pass Albumin Dialysis (SPAD) is a procedure for artificial liver support in acute liver failure. The aim of SPAD is to give the patient time until spontaneous recovery of liver function or availability of a donor organ. Results considering the surrogats were comparable with the other commercially available devices of artificial liver support. The clinical outcome was comparable, too. Thus, SPAD matched other results for artificial liver support devices concerning efficiency and safety as well as the potential for a clinical advantage.     «
