- Das Konstrukt ‹Metropolregion› basiert überwiegend auf raumfunktionalen ökonomischen Merkmalen. Das in dieser Dissertation entwickelte Modell ‹Landschaftsmetropole› stellt dieses Konstrukt bewusst in Frage und bietet eine konzeptionelle Umdeutung an, die die räumlichen Qualitäten und Kapazitäten der Landschaft in den Vordergrund stellt. Dabei werden neue räumliche Lesarten sowie Entwicklungspotenziale aufgezeigt, die in ihrer Konsequenz einen ‹Perspektivwechsel Landschaft› ermöglichen.
- Translated abstract:
- The ‹metropolitan region› construct is based predominantly on spatial-functional economic features. The ‹landscape metropolis› model developed in this dissertation deliberately questions this construct and offers a conceptual reinterpretation that puts the spatial qualities and capacities of the landscape in the foreground. New spatial interpretations as well as development potentials are shown, which consequently enable a ‹change towards a landscape perspective› for city regions.
