In dieser Arbeit wurde anhand eines murinen Verbrennungsmodells untersucht ob Thrombozyten die posttraumatische Immunantwort der CD4+Tregs modulieren. Thrombozyten sind in der Lage die körpereigene Immunantwort nach Trauma durch die Verstärkung der Aktivierung von CD4+ Tregs zu modulieren. Die Aktivierung von CD4+ Tregs wird im Allgemeinen als protektiv angesehen. Interessanterweise sind CD4+ Tregs vice versa in der Lage die hämostatische Funktion von Thrombozyten zu beeinflussen. In dieser Arbeit wurde zum ersten Mal gezeigt, dass Thrombozyten die frühe posttraumatische protektive Aktivität von CD4+ Tregs verstärken und dieser Effekt reziprok ist.     «

In this work, a murine burn model was used to investigate whether platelets modulate the posttraumatic immune response of CD4 + Tregs. Platelets are able to modulate the immune response following trauma by augmenting the activation of CD4+ Tregs. The activation of CD4+ Tregs is considered protective in the setting of trauma induced injury. Interestingly, CD4+ Tregs are vice versa able to influence the hemostatic function of platelets. This work is the first to show, that platelets augment the protective activity of CD4+ Tregs and that the interaction of platelets and CD4+ Tregs is reciprocal.      «
