Abstract:
OBJECTIVE: Surgical tumor resection remains the primary treatment strategy in ACTH-secreting pituitary adenomas, i.e. Cushing's disease (CD) and Nelson's syndrome (NS). However, an effective long-term pharmacological regime is not available in patients with persistent ACTH-hypersecretion.
