Abstract:
PURPOSE: Patient survival after resection of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) strongly correlated with the occurrence of distant metastasis. Cathepsins are members of the lysosomal cysteine proteases family and can support the metastatic process by degrading the extracellular matrix.
