Detection of bone metastases in patients with lung cancer: 99mTc-MDP planar bone scintigraphy, 18F-fluoride PET or 18F-FDG PET/CT.
Abstract:
The aim of the study was to compare the diagnostic accuracy of (18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/CT versus standard planar bone scintigraphy (BS) and (18)F-labelled NaF ((18)F) PET for the detection of bone metastases (BM) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).(18)F-FDG PET/CT was performed in 126 patients with NSCLC.
