Abstract:
BACKGROUND: Surgical ablation techniques using microwave energy are an alternative to catheter-based ablation therapy in the treatment of atrial fibrillation. We investigate electrical conduction properties of linear lesions after epicardial ablation in a pig model by using an electroanatomic mapping system.
