Abstract:
PURPOSE OF REVIEW: In this review, the possible etiology, clinical characteristics, diagnosis, and treatment of acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) are discussed. ADEM is a para- or postinfectious autoimmune demyelinating disease of the central nervous system and has been considered a monophasic disease.
