Abstract:
Angioedema is an underestimated clinical problem. Many cases are nonallergic reactions, e.g. bradykinin-induced angioedema caused by genetic defects and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. This difference is crucial for successful therapy, in particular when complete emergency care is not available.
