Abstract:
Coronary artery disease (CAD) and myocardial infarction (MI) have a genetic basis, but the precise genetic underpinning remains controversial. Recently, an association of the LRP8 R952Q polymorphism (rs5174) with familial premature CAD/MI was reported.
