OBJECTIVE: To study the impact of induction chemotherapy on surgical risk and outcome in locally advanced Barrett cancer. BACKGROUND: Induction chemotherapy has become an accepted choice for the treatment of locally advanced adenocarcinoma of the esophagus and the esophagogastric junction.
