GestaltMatcher facilitates rare disease matching using facial phenotype descriptors.
Abstract:
Many monogenic disorders cause a characteristic facial morphology. Artificial intelligence can support physicians in recognizing these patterns by associating facial phenotypes with the underlying syndrome through training on thousands of patient photographs.
