In his dissertation, which is an explorative empirical study in the field of information systems, Matthias Mohr identified four basic training strategies for enterprise software systems (e.g. ERP systems) by applying cluster and correlation analyses. He elaborated promotive determining factors for the selection of a certain training strategy. The analysis is completed by a comparison between the training benefits perceived by IT and HR executives on the one hand, and by end users on the other hand. The data set used in this work has been generated during two standardized surveys. It contains 220 cases on enterprise level as well as 17,020 cases on end user level. The dissertation provides suggestions for both training management and educational research.
