For the development of the temperature resistant casting resin especially epoxy (EP) resins and Bismaleinimide (BMI) resins have been studied. Besides the characterisation of several resin formulations according to their long-term thermostability and processability, also the influence of additives like flexibilizing agents and fillers on the thermostability has been studied. Concerning the EP-resins a resin-hardener-system could be shown, that is serviceable between 230-250°C. The thermal and mechanical properties of this EP-system has been analyzed by DoE methods. Also castable BMI-resins were characerized and a thermostable, reactive BMI-film has been developed, that already showed first positive results in practice.
