- In the course of a SARS-CoV-2 infection, BMI, age, and pre-existing conditions are used to determine the risk of a severe course. These are not very accurate. In a study, a combination of five biomarkers was found for unvaccinated patients to accurately determine the risk of hospitalization and moderate disease progression. This was not possible for vaccinated patients. It is possible that the initial proinflammatory response is weaker due to a stronger and faster humoral immune response.

- Im Zuge einer SARS-CoV-2 Infektion werden BMI, Alter und Vorerkrankungen zur Risikobestimmung genutzt. Diese sind nicht sehr akkurat. In einer Studie, wurde für nicht geimpfte Erkrankte eine Biomarker Kombination aus 5 Markern gefunden zur Bestimmung des Hospitalisierungsrisikos und des moderaten Erkrankungsverlaufes. Für geimpfte Patienten war dies nicht möglich. Möglicherweise ist die initiale proinflammatorische Antwort schwächer durch eine stärkere und schnellere humorale Immunantwort.
