The increasing complexity of vehicle electrical systems is presenting vehicle manufacturers with new challenges. High-power consumers such as electric steering or brakes can significantly reduce the voltage in the vehicle electrical system in critical driving situations. Based on a power net simulation, a reinforcement learning-based method for reducing voltage dips in 12 V electrical systems is developed. Based on a large number of critical driving scenarios, the results show an improvement in voltage dips compared to the strategy for a mid-range vehicle.
