- With immense sadness, Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany, announced the passing of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h.c. Dierk F. Schroeder on 23 March 2024 in Munich, Germany. He was a Professor of Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (later: Mechatronics) at the TUM from 1983 until 2008. Prof. Schroeder was born on 7 January 1941 in Stendal, Germany.
