Abstract:
BACKGROUND: The percutaneous treatment of severely calcified coronary lesions has been associated with lower performance of coronary stents and poor clinical long-term outcomes. Adequate lesion preparation before stent implantation is of paramount importance to minimize the risk of stent failure.
