This thesis focuses on the investigation of the electronic structure with 2D-ACAR and Compton scattering experiments. In particular, the electronic structure of palladium was investigated with both methods in order to reveal their specific features. The data obtained from both techniques was compared by the application of a new reconstruction algorithm, the so-called direct inversion method (DIM). Finally, the Fermi surface of the rare-earth hexaboride LaB6 was modeled from experimental 2D-ACAR data.
