X-ray dark-field signal is a measure for the scattering of X-rays in objects and provides complementary information to the attenuation-based signal. This thesis focuses on dark-field imaging of large objects. First, ex vivo human and phantom studies determined the optimal tube voltage for dark-field thorax imaging and the dark-field signal strengths of different organs. Next, X-ray vector radiography, based on the directional X-ray scattering, was tested on large samples. Finally, a method like tomosynthesis was presented to obtain three-dimensional dark-field information.
