Abstract:
Cement is the most produced construction material and due to its high CO2 emissions, cement production is responsible for around 8 % of global CO2 emissions [1]. A simple method to minimize this environmental impact is to replace cement clinker partially with supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs). SCMs can origin from different sources and can therefore show varying chemical and mineralogical compositions.
