This study is based on a retrospective analysis of the files of 1,090 patients who were treated for (para-) suicidal intoxication in the Department of Clinical Toxicology (MRI) from 2012 to 2016. Context and background information with sociodemographic, anamnestic and clinical variables of the cohort were examined in order to create profiles of persons, substances and intoxications, and to identify risk groups. Furthermore, predictive factors for severe and/or fatal outcomes were described in order to enable a prognostic estimation of (para-) suicidal intoxications.
