T cells play a central role as effector cells in the context of diverse cancer immunotherapies. The detection and their distribution in the tumor may be used as biomarkers for therapy response. In this work, the eligibility of the pan T cell markers CD2 and CD7 as target structures for immuno-PET based imaging approaches was investigated in vitro and in vivo. Both markers are suitable targets for imaging purposes. However, an impairment of the T-cell mediated effector function by an anti-CD2 F(ab´)2 fragment was observed in a model of adoptive T cell transfer.
