Consumer behavior in industrialized countries changes rapidly: A customer no longer buys a product itself, but wants to buy functionality, like mobility. Many enterprises react to this development by changing their portfolio. They develop or expand services to differ from their competitors and to enhance their products. For example TV manufacturers offer the possibility to watch films from their own portal via internet. For it a server structure for storing and providing the films, a new software version, and internet connectivity for the TV has to be provided. Concepts of integrated product and service offerings are known as Product-Service Systems (PSS). Product designers face the challenge of no longer having to develop a product only but also services with it. This was mainly the task of marketing departments so far. Furthermore, the development has to be made in interdisciplinary teams, because a PSS longs for designers of hardware, software and service. To keep the overview of the complete project, for documentation and communication a model-based approach to support the difficult task of a developer is necessary. In this paper we present the analysis of existing PSS models and a basic approach for combining them to a complete model.
