This retrospective, non-randomised study sought to assess the link between postoperative outcome and the tourniquet considering modern fast-track total knee arthroplasty. Our goal was to determine whether it is justified to let go of tourniquet use as indicated by the fast-track concept. The participants (n = 108) were assigned into two groups. The general picture emerging from our analysis is that there is no strongly significant link between the postoperative outcome and the use of the tourniquet.     «
