This thesis contributes different methodologies for the automation of the reconstruction process for precise 3D building models using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), such as image-based geo-referencing, automatic and semantically-aware 3D path planning and registering non-overlapping interior and exterior parts of a 3D building model. Furthermore, current approaches for depth estimation from a single image are investigated and examined in terms of their applicability in the field of building reconstruction.
