The PI3K effector Pdk1 is essential for the initiation of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Since it is still not clear which signalling pathways are involved in PDAC progression, I examined which kinases can rescue the loss of Pdk1 in KrasG12D-driven PDAC cells. The expression of myristoylated Akt1 led to a complete rescue of Pdk1 loss, both in MTT and clonogenic assay. A partial rescue of Pdk1 loss was obtained by expressing CKS1B-myr. To conclude, this study could help to better understand the mechanisms of
resistance in PDAC.
