With a high engineering and configuration effort involved, implementing connections from the shop floor to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) can be considered a time consuming and, therefore, costly task. In order to reduce the effort involved, previous works developed an offline modelbased generation of shop floor gateway connections. In this industrial paper, a brief overview of the continuation of these works, which transfer the model data into a MES's database and the configuration generation directly into the runtime of an industrial implementation of a shop floor gateway, is given.
