Abstract:
In this study, direct speed control based on a finite control set-model predictive speed control (FCS-MPSC)with a voltage smoother is presented to reduce current ripple. In the proposed control scheme, the controller predicts the future current and speed states with a finite set of smoothed voltages and outputs the optimal smoothed voltage by using pulse width modulation (PWM). Because of this control scheme, a sudden change in the output voltage, which causes a large current ripple, is avoided....     »
