The process of biological healing after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is a possible cause for postoperative insufficiency of the graft by loosening or traumatic rerupture. The fibers of the original torn ACL should be preserved during remnant augmentation ACL reconstruction techniques.
