The Energiewende in Germany leads to substitution of large-scale synchronous generators in the power transmission network (TN) by decentralized, inverter-based generating units in the distribution network (DN). This systemic change has significant influences on the impact of short-circuits in the TN, e.g. relating to short-circuit currents, voltage dips and loss of power generation in the DN. In this thesis, a simulation-based investigation of the effects is conducted using self-developed models.
