In this doctoral thesis, the common design of deep geothermal heating plants with focus on the properties and requirements of the hydraulic design and the control system is presented. Furthermore, a new hydraulic concept, the hybrid concept is presented. This concept has been developed from different hydraulic solutions according to different state of the art concepts with particular consideration of the requirements of geothermal heating plants. The new hydraulic concept allows a significantly higher number of storage cycles. Thereby the efficiency of geothermal heating plants can be optimized.
