Abstract:
Variable-speed wind energy conversion systems based on permanent-magnet synchronous generators (PMSGs) are typically controlled using the field-oriented control (FOC) principles. Therefore, accurate information of the rotor speed and position are essential to perform the required reference frame transformations.
