Abstract:
OBJECTIVE: In the European Lacidipine Study on Atherosclerosis (ELSA), against a similar antihypertensive effect, a significantly greater effect of lacidipine was found on carotid intima-media thickness (IMT) progression, indicating a specific anti-atherosclerotic effect of lacidipine.
