Ms. Diana Rodriguez Camargo developed during her PhD of a protocol for the recombinant production of the human hormone Islet Amyloid polypeptide (hIAPP) in E. coli. Furthermore, she characterized the aggregation properties of hIAPP in both oxidation states and determined its monomeric structure in solution. In addition, Ms. Rodriguez studied the interaction of the FRB domain of TOR with different membrane systems and analyzed them using NMR to better understand the localization of this protein and its function in the cell.
