In einer prospektiven Studie der Neurochirurgischen Abteilung des Klinikums rechts der Isar in München wurden Patienten mit Hirntumor vor und nach Operation neuropsychologisch getestet. Mittels einer neuropsychologischen Testbatterie wurden hierbei Aufmerksamkeit, Gedächtnis sowie Exekutivfunktionen geprüft. Ziel der Studie war es, Risikolokalisationen für eine postoperative Verschlechterung herauszustellen. Insgesamt ergab sich ein Trend zur Verschlechterung der Patienten im frühen postoperativen Verlauf, möglicherweise auch durch den Einflussfaktor "postoperative cognitive dysfunction".      «

In a prospective study of the Department of Neurosurgery, Klinikum rechts der Isar in Munich, patients with a brain tumour were assessed in a neuropsychological way at pre- and postoperative stage. Attention, Memory and executive functions were tested. The purpose of the study was to determine regions of the brain as risk factors for postoperative cognitive decline. In total, there was a tendency towards cognitive decline in the early postoperative course, possibly with postoperative cognitive dysfunction as an influencing factor.      «
