In this thesis the material behavior of carbon fiber reinforced plastics made of long fiber patches is studied. Therefore, the influence of different geometrical properties of the patches on the mechanical behavior of patched laminates under tension loading is investigated experimentally and numerically. Design guidelines are presented based on the findings of the material investigation. The guidelines are discussed under the aspect of mechanic and productivity followed by a transfer to application.
