The present work deals with the development of a tape laying process for manufacturing of hybrid metal-composite-structures. As materials, Ti-6Al-4V + CF/PEEK and EN AW 5754 + CF/PA6 are investigated.
A workpackage is the integration of necessary hardware components to guarantee a reliable manufacturing of local reinforcements. Suitable surface treatment methods of the metallic joining partners are analysed in terms of achievable joint strength and suitability for the laser-based process. The influence of process parameters on the joint strength between composite tape and metal and the influence of local metallic substrates on the manufacturing of the laminate is investigated and optimised by suitable strategies. Finally, the obtained results are validated by means of a demonstrator component.
