An increased activation of growth factor receptor tyrosine kinases may lead to development of malignancies. After receptor stimulation it comes to an activation of the transcription factor NF-κB, among other things. In this work, it was shown that the translocation of NF-κB depends on Bcl10 and Malt1. So after receptor stimulation the PI3/Akt pathway is activated and in dependency of Bcl10 and Malt1 it comes to degradation of IκBα with a subsequent activation of NF-κB. This results lead to a better understanding of signal transduction by growth factor receptor tyrosine kinases.
