- Advances in hardware architecture allow keeping large amounts of data in main-memory and enable Operational Business Intelligence, as some analytical queries can be executed directly on operational database systems without impeding the performance of mission-critical transaction processing too much. This thesis analyzes how business applications with Operational Business Intelligence features, like CRM with analytic dashboards, can be provided efficiently as a service in the cloud.

- Moderne Hardware-Architekturen erlauben es große Datenmengen im Hauptspeicher zu halten und ermöglichen Business Intelligence in Echtzeit, da ein Teil der analytischen Anfragen direkt auf den operativen Datenbanksystemen ausgeführt werden kann, ohne die Transaktionsverarbeitung zu stark zu beeinträchtigen. Diese Doktorarbeit betrachtet wie Echtzeit-Geschäftsanwendungen, z.B. CRM mit analytischen Dashboads, effizient als Dienst in der Cloud bereitgestellt werden können.
