The mechatronically supported lightweight allows the displacement of system functionalities be-tween subsystems within a vehicle system by using an actively tuned mass damper. The deliberate reduction of the ride comfort resulting from the lightweight is compensated through the active tuned mass damper. The result is a system with the same functionality (comfort) with reduced vehicle mass. The optimization of the overall system enabling a maximum reduction of carbon dioxide emissions requires a new simulation environment. This environment includes lightweight, additional electrical consumption, consumption cycles and customer behavior on different road surfaces in the entire system with minimum computation time.
