Ziel dieser Arbeit war die Kombination von Organokatalyse und enantioselektiver Photocycloaddition. Dabei standen die Synthese verschiedener 4-substituierter 2-Chinolone und die Untersuchung ihrer [2+2]-Photocycloaddition bei Anwesenheit unterschiedlicher Katalysatoren in variierenden Konzentrationen im Vordergrund. Je nach Katalysator und Substrat konnten dabei reproduzierbar exzellente Umsätze (> 80%) und Enantioselektivitäten (> 90% ee) erzielt werden. Des Weiteren konnte gezeigt werden, dass vor allem die erfolgreiche Bildung eines Exciplexes aus Substrat- und Katalysatormolekül, die Lage der Absorptionsmaxima und die Triplettenergien eine entscheidende Rolle in der Katalyse spielen.
