This thesis describes a four-phase methodology in order to develop production strategies. Phase 1 presents the derivation of global production strategic objectives. Phase 2 contains the analysis of industry-specific influence factors and action fields as well as the derivation of objectives and implementation measures. Afterwards the content of the action fields are described. In Phase 3 cause-effect relationships are analyzed. In Phase 4 the target system is derived and further supplementary analyses are conducted. The methodology was validated within the aircraft engine industry.
