Ziel dieser Studie war es, den Einfluss von Einzelnukleotid-Polymophismen des UCP2- und FTO-Gens auf das Ergebnis einer kontrollierten Lebensstilintervention bei stationär behandelten adipösen Kindern und Jugendlichen zu untersuchen. Hierfür wurden bei insgesamt 371 Probanden sowohl am Anfang als auch am Ende eines mindestens 4-wöchigen Therapieprogrammes Parameter des Fett- und Glukosestoffwechsels, anthropometrische Daten sowie die relative Leistungsfähigkeit ermittelt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen einen signifikanten Zusammenhang zwischen den Markergenen und der Veränderung der erhobenen Parameter im Therapieverlauf.     «

The purpose of the current study was to investigate the influence of single-nucleotide-polymorphims of the UCP2- and FTO-gene on the result of a controlled life management intervention in children and adolescents. At the beginning and at the end of an inpatient weight-loss program taking at least four weeks, parameters of fat- and glucose-metabolism, anthropometric data, as well as the relative performance were determined in a total of 371 subjects. Results are showing a significant correlation between the marker genes and the change in parameters collected in the course of therapy.     «
