The lecture will concentrate on the materials and fabrications techniques that can be used for organic flexible electronics. Two classes of materials will be introduced, namely conducting polymers and carbon nanotubes. Both can be handled in solution form, which open the ways for several large area coating fabrication technologies (e.g. spray coating, inkjet printing and doctor blade). The electrical, optical and sensing properties of organic materials will be reviewed in light of potential applications as active or passive components for organic devices (e.g. transistors, light emitters and absorbers, sensors).
